Legal information — Freshdealcorner

Freshdealcorner is committed to clear, Australian-compliant policies for online furniture sales. This page outlines your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), our returns & refunds approach, warranties, shipping, and dispute resolution.

Legal overview — furniture compliance

Consumer guarantees (Australian Consumer Law)

Under the ACL, consumers have non-excludable guarantees including that goods are of acceptable quality, fit for disclosed purpose, match descriptions and samples. These guarantees apply to purchases made in Australia from Freshdealcorner.

Faulty goods

If a product is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the severity of the problem. We will assess whether the issue is major or minor in accordance with ACL.

Proof of purchase

Please retain your invoice or order confirmation. For warranty and remedy requests we usually require proof of purchase and photos showing the issue.

Returns & refunds

Our returns policy is aligned with ACL. This table summarises typical scenarios — each case is assessed individually.

Shipping & delivery terms

We ship across Australia. Delivery estimates are provided at checkout. Delays caused by carriers, weather, or third parties do not usually constitute a breach of the contract if outside our control.

  • Tracking: Provided for all deliveries where available.
  • Risk & title: Risk passes to you on delivery; title passes on full payment.
  • Damage in transit: Report within 7 days with photos for claim processing.

Large items & assembly

For bulky furniture, we offer delivery options including doorstep, room of choice (where available) and assembly. Additional fees may apply — these are shown at checkout.

Manufacturer warranties & exclusions

Some products include manufacturer warranties stated on the product page or packaging. Warranties do not replace ACL rights. Exclusions commonly include damage from misuse, normal wear & tear, or unauthorised modifications.

Compliance officer

Complaints & technical support: If you believe your product is covered by warranty, contact our support with order details and photos. We will liaise with manufacturers where applicable.

FAQ & dispute resolution

Photograph the damage, retain packaging, and contact support within 7 days. We will arrange a claim with the carrier or organise a return and replacement depending on assessment.

If your order has not shipped we may be able to cancel it. Once dispatched, returns are handled per our returns policy; change-of-mind returns may incur fees.

Contact us first to resolve the issue. If unresolved, customers in Australia may seek assistance from their local state/Territory consumer protection agency or the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) and Fair Trading offices.

For formal complaints email Freshdealcorner@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Legal notices & modifications

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the law or our operations. Material changes will be posted on this page. This page does not affect your statutory rights under Australian law.

Applicable law: These terms and our contract with you are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia to the extent permitted by law.
